About Us
Hello! My name is Pastor Trent Boedicker. I have more than two decades of ministry experience in the local church and now as a hospice chaplain. Learn more about my story below.

Introducing Pastor Trent
God’s grace has been a constant theme throughout my life. Looking back, I can see his hand at work through every season. I was blessed to grow up in a Christian home in a small town in northwest Ohio, surrounded by loving family and a faithful church community. Foundational experiences like Vacation Bible School and church camp helped shape my faith, and I accepted Christ as my Savior at an early age.
After high school, I attended Grace Bible College (now Grace Christian University) in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The faculty and staff there not only deepened my understanding of Scripture and theology, but also modeled what it means to walk closely with Christ. During my time there, I began to sense God calling me into pastoral ministry. It may have seemed like an unlikely path. I was quiet, introverted, and terrified of public speaking. But God gave me the courage and compassion needed to serve others.
Along the way, I was mentored by pastors and teachers who invested in my growth, and I’m deeply grateful for their guidance. As I completed the licensing and ordination process through the Grace Gospel Fellowship, I found a community of like-minded brothers in ministry who have walked with me through both challenges and joys.
College was also where I met and married my wife, Charity. After graduation, the Lord led us back to northwest Ohio, where I served as the pastor of Grace Gospel Church in Ada for over twenty years. During those years, God filled our home with three wonderful children. People warned us, “They grow up fast,” and they were right.
We love the people of Ada and treasure the friendships formed there. Recently, however, I sensed the Lord leading me into a new season of ministry. It was incredibly difficult to step away from a church that means so much to our family, but I now have the privilege of serving as a hospice chaplain. In this role, I walk alongside individuals and families in their final days, helping them face death with peace and hope, and prepare for the glory that awaits in eternity.
Though my ministry context has changed, I’m still a preacher at heart. This website is a space where I can continue to share the messages God places on my heart. I’m also available for pulpit supply and enjoy connecting with fellow believers from different congregations as we open God’s Word together.
1 Timothy 1:12
“I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has strengthened me, because he considered me faithful, putting me into service.”
