Cross references can be found in most of our Bible translations, either in the center column or on the outer edge of the page. There are also books of cross references such as “The Treasury of Scripture Knowledge.” Tracking down cross references can help us find other passages that may relate to what we are studying. It may bring greater clarity by speaking to the same subject. It may identify the source of a quotation. It may use related words or phrases. Caution: Always pay attention to the context when looking up cross references. Choose several verses and spend time tracking down related verses using a cross reference tool. The video will walk you through the process. Be sure to record the results of your research.
