Highlighting helps us to slow down as we read the Bible. It develops the skill of paying careful attention to what the Word of God says. This is what the observation step is all about. There are lots of ways you can do this, but the key is to find a system that works best for you. After you watch the video, your assignment is to spend time reading and re-reading the passage in John 6:25-38. Get out colored pencils or highlighters or whatever you can find. If you have access to Bible Study software, feel free to do this digitally. Look for key words, important details, repeated phrases, or anything that stands out as you read the text. Ready, set, go!
