In this video we will consult commentaries to gain additional insight into our passage. A biblical commentary is a resource that explains the meaning of books of the Bible. It usually goes verse by verse or chapter by chapter, providing background information, context, and insights to help readers understand the text better. We have saved this step towards the end of the Bible study process, because we wanted to make observations for ourselves first. Then we can check our conclusions. There are different types of commentaries, some more technical while others more devotional. We will explore several commentaries as we continue working through our passage.
